CANDIDATE OWES OVER $18,000 IN REAL ESTATE TAXES

A search of public records in Cook County reveals that Nancy Carlson owes over $18,000 in property taxes on her home at 926 Braeburn, Inverness.  Shouldn’t the people who have the power to potentially raise our property taxes be paying their taxes?

Check it out at the Cook County Treasurer’s website link below.  Key in the PIN number and the unpaid tax bills will come up:                      02-08-404-004-0000. 926 Braeburn is Nancy Carlson’s home address according to her Nominating Petition.

You probably meant for your question to be rhetorical, but perhaps Jim Ekeberg should weigh in on this since he has asked people to vote for Nancy Carlson.

    Further outrage:

380 days can be converted to one of these units:
    32,832,000 seconds
    547,200 minutes
    9120 hours
    54 weeks (rounded down)

At the 2007-08 Operating Expenditure Per Pupil for D15 which is $10,641, This represents the funding for over 1.7 students.

    Nice work Carlson

Not only is it over $18K, she hasn’t paid 3 straight installments!

Due 3/4/2008, 11/3/2008, and 3/3/2009 so it is the amount of money and even bigger it is 3 straight bills not paid.

Yet she wants to spend MY tax dollars and yours? And not only spend mine but clearly she’s bad at (a) earning /saving money or (b) keeping track of bills – NEITHER of which I want a school board member to be associated with. Long term planning for D15? She can’t long term plan 6 MONTHS OUT WITH HER OWN **** REAL ESTATE TAXES.

Does the Daily Herald know about this?
Should she be allowed to practice law with this status?
Shouldn’t she be getting sued by the county?

Seriously, does the Daily Herald know about this?

Yes Bob, the Daily Herald does know about this but whether they have the resources or the inclination to cover this story is another question.

  4. Bob Redmond says:

380 days is how OVERDUE she is from the first due date (that we know of)

it was erased from message above

  5. Scott Lindstrom says:

Now (today) it makes sense why the DH does not cover this.
